Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an American-Mexican sportscaster. She currently works as a sportscaster for ESPN and is anchor for SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She is the child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been since her age of nine. This skill helped her to get her first job with Univision, Miami. She was able to work as a producer for national programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The next position she was offered was reporter for sports at the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become an anchor for the newscast of The Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition to reporting on issues related to the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the border, she served as a reporter on newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor and reporter for the 9 p.m. newscast in English, and an anchor for the at 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. Her duties as an anchor for weather or sports were also frequently demanded. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate, where she was able to take on more responsibility. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23's local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. She was promoted as a sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The same role she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. There is an older sister. She is the older sister. In 1992, her parents divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she remarried Fabio Fajardo who was an engineer in the naval sector who died in 2006 from kidney cancer. In the summer of the year 2006, Antonietta spent an entire week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. At the time of her senior year in high school and yet knowing exactly what she wanted to do in her future, Antonietta visited the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her preferences. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. She completed her schooling and was accepted into the University as a major of media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked over the years, became a friend. He inspired her to believe in herself and his passion in journalism was a huge influence on her. She determined to meet the expectations of him and not failed him.
